Lateral Events CEO awarded the industry’s highest honour at the 2019 MEA Evolve Awards Dinner
Lateral Events picked up three national awards at the peak event industry – The 2019 MEA awards dinner; Best Public Event, Best Regional Event and Lateral’s CEO Simon Baggs was awarded the industry’s highest honour; the Outstanding Contribution Award.
The Outstanding Contribution Award recognises an individual’s contribution to the event industry.
Simon was recognised for his endeavours in building strong relationships not only in Australia but globally. He has built a reputable and highly successful event management company delivering events in the Asia Pacific and the UK.
Over many years Simon has been a mentor to many, generously giving his time to nurture and encourage young event professionals, and inspiring and motivating them to be their very best.
Simon has been involved with MEA for many years and has served on the national Board for eight years; four as Chair during the most challenging period of the association’s history.
